The CC-5500 was a full-color copier developed using Brother’s proprietary technologies. Color copiers at that time were very expensive, but the CC-5500 was sold at a cheaper price than those color copiers. This copier required special paper and earned recognition for its technological excellence. It, however, failed to succeed in the market.
